What are the Observatory activities?
The research area of the Imaginaries Observatory focuses on the analysis of symbolic and cultural representations that influence worldviews and the construction of collective identity. The study of imaginaries, narratives and visual representations is central to this Observatory, which aims to analyze the role of different languages in the construction of identity and a sense of belonging, as well as to promote critical reflection on the ways in which they can influence politics and sociality.
Through the aesthetic dimension, in fact, we are able to reconsider the structures of society and, through a sensitive perspective, reveal the processes, challenges, vulnerabilities and all the democratic potential of expressive freedom.
